The Zeneer™ is the first zirconia veneer, offered exclusively by Jurim Dental Studio. It consists of an incredibly thin (0.2 mm) inner core of sintered zirconia that is milled in-house using CAD/CAM technology onto which compatible, lifelike feldspathic porcelain is built. This process allows for the fabrication of customized final restoration whose high strength is paralleled only by its superior esthetics.

Benefits of the

Zeneer - The First Only Zirconia Veneer
  • Lifelike look
    • The Zeneer™ has a very natural appearance, due to the custom build-up of feldspathic porcelain on top of its zirconia core.

  • Highest marginal integrity
    • Since the Zeneer™’s zirconia core is fabricated using CAD/CAM technology, it has the most precise margins of any veneer restoration currently available.

  • Strongest veneer
    • The Zeneer™ eliminates failures due to unsupported porcelain with the presence of the supporting zirconia core.

  • No need to alter traditional veneer preparation
    • A tooth is prepared for a Zeneer™ in the same exact fashion as a traditional porcelain veneer. If you would like tooth preparation guidelines for all ceramic restorations, we can certainly provide you with information on the matter. We also offer many continuing education hands-on courses on tooth preparation. For more information, please call Ari or Barbara at 516-466-1722 or send an email to contactus@jurimdental.com.

  • Optimum masking of dark stump shades
    • For cases in which the shade of the prepared teeth is very dark, such cases involving devitalized teeth or tetracycline stained teeth, nothing will mask the dark stump shade as well as the Zeneer™ due to the presence of its zirconia core.

Methods for  Zeneer - The First Only Zirconia Veneer Insertion
The Zeneer™’s zirconia core must be treated to prepare it for bonding with adhesive resins. This can be done using many different systems, like the 3M ESPE CoJet System or Bisco’s Z Prime™ Plus. These different methods prepare the zirconia core to be bonded either by mechanical or chemical means. Adrian recommends Bisco’s Z Prime™ Plus for its ease of use, unparalleled bond strengths, compatibility with dual-cured and light-cured resin luting cements, and the extensive research to back it. For more information, please contact either Adrian or Barbara at 516-466-1722 or send an email to contactus@jurimdental.com.

    Frequently Asked Questions
    1. What benefit does the Zeneer™ have over a traditional porcelain veneer? Why would I use it?
    2. No single restorative material is the answer to solve each cosmetic problem. A Zeneer™ is preferred to treat cases in which the patient is a severe bruxer/clencher, the patient has previously broken their porcelain veneers, or for patients who have badly stained teeth and wish for a much brighter, whiter smile. The Zeneer™, with its superior CAD/CAMed margins, is also indicated for use by those doctors who feel traditional porcelain veneers do not achieve the degree of marginal integrity they are comfortable with.

    1. Is there a problem with the Zeneer™’s zirconia core being too opaque? Does that affect the esthetics of the final restoration?

    2. The Zeneer™’s zirconia core is milled so thin that it becomes semi-translucent, so that there is no problem with the restoration appearing too opaque and excellent incisal characterization is possible. In addition, much research is being done on zirconia, such that in the near future we will have different shades and different opacities of zirconia available for use.

    1. How do I etch the Zeneer™ for insertion?
    2. The Zeneer™’s zirconia core cannot be etched by traditional means as it contains no silica component. Instead, the zirconia core can be prepared for bonding with resin luting cements using one of the many different systems now available, like the 3M ESPE CoJet System or Bisco’s Z Prime™ Plus.
