Exploring Digital Dental Photography
A Hands-On Continuum
|
From diagnosis and treatment planning to laboratory communication and case documentation, digital dental photography plays an important role in the dental office today. This series of courses will cover the skills needed to use your camera system efficiently and then use the images that are generated to effectively communicate with the laboratory or create a powerful and dramatic case presentation for your patients or peers.

Hands-On Photography - Mastering Your Camera System |

This course will show participants how to efficiently use their digital dental cameras by learning hands-on how to properly adjust their camera settings for predictable clinical photography. All aspects of dental photography will be demonstrated, including but not limited to: custom white balance, close-up peri-oral photography, and before-and-after clnical photography. Participants are encouraged to bring their clinical camera systems and participate to maximize their dental digital photography skills. |

COURSE TWO
Basic Image Manipulation - Establishing Your Workflow To Make Photos Work |

In this course, hands-on demonstrations will teach participants the necessary steps to expertly process their digital photos. In depth instructions for establishing a photo processing "workflow" will be reviewed, including how to transfer images from the camera to your computer, how to effectively catalog images, and how to execute basic image editing. Emphasis on mastering Google's Picasa® photo editing program along with basic Adobe Photoshop® techniques will be covered in detail at a pace where learning is maximized. Participants are encouraged to bring their laptop computers. Software will be provided to enhance the learning experience. |

Advanced Image Editing - Exploring Adobe Photoshop's
Potential with Digital Dental Photography |

Learn how to conquer the extensive and powerful features that Adobe Photoshop® holds for dental digital photography editing. In depth instruction and hands-on experience will teach participants how to process their RAW photos with Adobe Camera Raw®. Advanced image editing techniques for producing digital aesthetic restorative mock-ups for case presentations along with professional looking photos for case documentation will be demonstrated. Participants are kindly requested to participate in the "Course 2: Basic Image Manipulation" session prior to attending this advanced course. |

Mastering Microsoft PowerPoint® - How To Make Professional Presentations

laptops to maximize their learning experience in this dynamic interactive session. |
